Acoustic Music

I think acoustic music is what moves me the most. I like hearing the wood vibrating inside of a guitar, a bouzouki, a double-bass… Or the air jumping out from a tuba, a trumpet… Focus on an acoustic sound started to make sense when I decided to play on the street. Except if you can have access to electricity, you can only play acoustic instruments outside. I found it interesting to get inspiration from old 30’s swing bands. They were using banjo, horns, street drum set etc., in order to be heard by the crowd. That’s how we could build our sound. In fact, we could play acoustic on the street and in bars with the same set up which improved our music.

Another fact is that I still miss Istanbul now that I’m back in Lisbon! The video was made by @captainkismet Check it out on YouTube! Great footages of Istanbul!
